This restoration process is way beyond me, but this car is the first to make me think, maybe I could have fun with an old muscle car.

Oh that would be so awesome to restore!!!!!

Oh man, that would be an awesome project. Parts are easier to come by for the ‘69-‘70 body style than ‘67-‘68. I’d love to have that car!

Cougars are always a lot of fun

Grab it quick. Can’t imagine it’ll linger.

I miss being young enough to attract them.

I love that. I don’t think it needs the wing though.

I’m older than almost all Cougars (even the one you posted)

I think it should either be larger or eliminated. Right now it feels like it’s half-hearted.

Wings are either for downforce or just aesthetic. This one serves neither purpose as it is because the cars lines flow so well on their own.
Now, if you were to put on a huge ridiculous wing, you could maybe make it work because the whole package lends itself to an over the top presentation.

T he wing is stock. It came from the factory that way.

I Think these were factory wings. That’s why I’d just get a well-sorted XR-7

Yes, I realize, but I don’t think it needs it.

Yeah, and I can relate. I’d take an XR-7 convertible.

I'm too old for cougars now

Not always true. The wing on Fiero wasn’t added to increase down force but to decrease the drag apparently. I’m sure there ar e other cases like that.

Really? Didn’t know that.

If it were there to homologate the Cougar in SCCA Trans Am racing, it would be.

I doubt the Fiero would need a lot of help with downforce, since most of its weight is over the rear wheels already. Too much downforce over the rear wheels, especially in a car with such a rear weight bias, might end up causing front end lift. So this makes sense.
